Aqua News Aqua Security Named a 2022 Best Place to Work by the Boston Business Journal

BOSTON — April 26, 2022Aqua Security, the leading pure-play cloud native security provider, announced today that the Boston Business Journal has named the company a 2022 Best Place to Work. The BBJ’s exclusive ranking honors Massachusetts companies that have built outstanding work environments for their people.

“Aqua’s values are at the core of everything we do. They define who we are as a company and who we are as Aquarians,” said Matt Richards, CMO, Aqua Security. “We care, we lead and we act. Those values are exemplified in our technology, our innovation and how we work with each other and our communities. They are what motivate us every day and have helped us build a great place to work.”

Aqua was recognized for its collaborative, engaging and empowering environment. In 2021, global headcount grew by 87% and 25% of the company was promoted. Across the globe, employees participated in over a dozen philanthropic events, attended dedicated wellbeing focused initiatives and enjoyed regular culture-building activities.

This accolade comes on the heels of several other company culture honors including Aqua being named a 2022 BuiltIn Boston Best Place to work in multiple categories and landing the 6th spot on the Duns 100 “Best startups to work for 2021.”

Best Places Methodology

Qualifying companies participated in employee-engagement surveys distributed by Business Journal partner Quantum Workplace. Employees were asked to rate their work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, management, compensation, and benefits.  Based on the results of those surveys, businesses were assigned a score out of 100 percent and ranked by Quantum.

The top-rated companies were listed in five size categories and will be honored at the Best Places to Work celebration on June 16th at the Boston Park Plaza.

“We are so glad to be able to celebrate this year’s Best Places to Work in person. These companies signify teamwork, retention, engagement, trust with co-workers and senior leaders. Together they create a dynamic, innovative place where people want to work and grow,” said Carolyn Jones, Market President and Publisher of the Boston Business Journal.
