Aqua News Aqua Security Moves its U.S. Headquarters to the Boston Area, Expands its Executive Team

Aqua Chooses Boston For its Exceptional Talent Base and Thriving CyberSecurity Community; Hires New Executives Jeff Ginter to Lead Sales, Linda Matthews to Lead Customer Success

Boston, MA, November 1, 2017 – Aqua Security, the market-leading container security platform provider, today announced it has formally moved its U.S. Headquarters to Burlington, MA.  As part of that effort, Aqua is expanding its executive team, tapping cybersecurity industry veteran Jeff Ginter as Vice President of Sales, and seasoned cloud and IT Infrastructure expert Linda Matthews as Vice President of Customer Success.

The Boston office will be home base for Linda and Jeff, who are joining Upesh Patel, Aqua’s Vice President of Business Development and a team of sales, marketing, and technology experts.  Since opening the office earlier this year, Aqua has more than doubled its staff.  On the heels of its $25 million Series B round, Aqua will be aggressively hiring in the Boston area with the goal of continuing its rapid growth and doubling headcount again by mid-2018.

“We’re delighted to plant roots in Boston – there are very few places in the world that attract the pool of talent that exists in the Boston area due to the high concentration of leading technology companies, top-tier universities and innovative businesses,” said Dror Davidoff, co-founder and CEO, Aqua Security.  “We are particularly pleased to be part of the thriving cybersecurity community and we are looking to leverage the excellent talent pool to support our growth. Given the unique skill sets that Jeff and Linda bring to Aqua, our ability to bridge the gap between DevOps and security will improve exponentially.”

Prior to becoming Vice President of Sales at Aqua, Jeff spent 14.5 years at CA Technologies, growing its business in key areas such as Identity & Access Management, Digital Transformation and DevSecOps. At CA, he ran Sales and Technical Sales organizations in several business units including Cybersecurity, API Management/DevOps and Agile Operations.

“One of the strongest examples of cybersecurity as a business enabler can be found in the application security realm, where DevOps teams are “left shifting” security into the application build process,” said Jeff Ginter, vice president of Sales, Aqua Security. “At Aqua Security, we help customers make DevSecOps a reality, and I look forward to help Aqua bridge the gap between strong security and business agility.”

Linda Matthews is a seasoned executive with proven track record developing, managing and growing high-performance, global Customer Success teams. Prior to Aqua, Linda was the Vice President of Customer Success at Cloudyn (acquired by Microsoft). She also held senior Customer Success roles at Mashery, a leading provider of enterprise API Management technology and services (acquired by Intel), and at TIBCO Software and Services.

“Containers are rapidly being adopted by F500 customers, but real transformation of application workloads to containers is still in its early stages”, said Linda Matthews, vice president, Customer Success, Aqua Security.  “Aqua is at the forefront of this transformation, and I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of Aqua and its customers.”
