“The adoption of cloud-native technologies provides an opportunity for security to be redefined, addressing the chronic cybersecurity skills shortage through automation, and creating applications that are secure by design,” said Dror Davidoff, CEO and co-founder of Aqua.
Aqua Security, an Israel-based operator of a container security platform, raised $62 million in Series C funding. Insight Partners led the round, and was joined by investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, M12, TLV Partners and Shlomo Kramer.
“As investors in several leading cloud technology providers, we were impressed by Aqua and its track record as a security leader in this hyper-growth space,” said Jeff Horing, co-founder and managing director at Insight Partners.
“At Aqua, we recognized from the start that this space requires a different approach to security and were the first to provide a full lifecycle solution, which all other vendors have been trying to imitate,” Davidoff said.
