Senior SDET

About The Position

We are looking for a Senior SDET (QA and Automation) engineer to join the Runtime group in the R&D department. The role will include supporting, designing, and developing a variety of tests part of our shift left process to ensure the high quality of Aqua products. Help us take the next step in ensuring the best-in-class quality products for our growing customer base. We are looking for someone passionate about problem-solving through proper test planning and transitioning to automation and who is eager to impact our product and customers.



Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in testing distributed systems with web-based front-end and back-end services - a must.
  • Scripting/programming skills with Python/Bash/Go/JavaScript/Groovy, etc. - a must.
  • Proficient in test planning, test design, and test implementation across several types of testing, including functional, performance, security, and scalability testing - a must.
  • Experience with DevOps tools like GIT, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS managed service
  • Extensive experience working in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Mindset and approach for automating away from manual efforts.
  • Innovative with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with a quality-oriented Agile development process.
  • Motivated and independent professional with excellent written and spoken English.


  • Proficiency in managing and working with various platforms, including OpenShift, Windows, Azure, EC2, EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), GCP (Google Cloud Platform), TAS (Tanzu Application Service), Fargate, and more - an advantage.
  • Familiarity with VMware Tanzu TAS (Tanzu Application Service) - an advantage.
  • Cloud security experience – advantage
  • Understanding of network layers, protocols, and security practices, particularly in distributed systems - advantage
  • Understanding of Linux internals, kernel, and system-level – advantage
