Social Media Manager

About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to own social media for a cybersecurity unicorn at a pivotal moment in the company’s trajectory. Aqua is looking for a creative and passionate social media professional. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the ideal candidate has experience in creating, executing and measuring successful social media programs, while being able to work in a fast-paced environment. As part of the Go-To-Market team, you will play a key role in building a social strategy that engages with our key audiences. This role will require someone who is self-motivated, creative, analytical, and collaborative. The ideal candidate will bring results-driven experience combined with an eagerness to bring fresh insights and build new social programs.

This position will be a hybrid role based in our Burlington, MA office, and offers significant room for personal initiative, expanding responsibilities and professional growth.

Position overview:

  • Set strategy and execute plans to maximize Aqua’s visibility within relevant communities across all social channels: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and similar platforms
  • Create engaging content strategies that map to key audiences and build awareness of the Aqua brand
  • Monitor social channels and engage/respond with followers
  • Set specific goals to measure ROI, impact and performance across platforms
  • Manage measurement and create regular cadence of reporting key data and metrics
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams and global stakeholders across HR, customer success, sales, engineering and product to identify and create engaging content opportunities
  • Collaborate with design team to maintain and enhance social media content
  • Educate and drive employee engagement across the organization, lead employee advocacy program

Requirements

  • 2 years+ experience leading social media for a B2B security or IT company (IT infrastructure, security, cloud preferred)
  • Demonstratable experience and a track record of growing audience & followers on all social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail and a confident communicator
  • Proficient and prolific writer, with excellent communication skills in English – additional language proficiency is a plus
  • Comfortable with video editing to quickly generate content leveraging existing assets for social vehicles
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders, platforms and audiences to ensure that goals are met
  • Understanding of broader go-to-market strategy and knowledge of other areas of marketing (PR, demand-gen, events, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Past experience with a social advocacy platform
  • Previous experience with cloud security
  • Knowledge of paid social media campaigns
