Integrates with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services to Automate Container Image Vulnerability Scanning
Tel Aviv, Israel – 27 October 2016 – Aqua Security, the leading platform provider for securing virtual container applications, today announced support for Windows Server 2016 containers as well as integration with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS). These latest additions to Aqua’s Container Security Platform make it the first true multi-OS container security solution.

Previewed by Amir Jerbi in a talk at Microsoft Ignite last month, the Aqua Container Security Platform (CSP) now provides the same automated security controls for containers running natively on Windows as it does for Linux containers. Key functionality includes:
- Image assurance that prevents running vulnerable images and tracks image use throughout the lifecycle.
- Runtime security that utilizes multiple layers of defense, starting with least-privilege defaults that are then enhanced using behavioral analytics to whitelist good behavior and prevent anomalous behavior.
- Cyber intelligence that provides protection against various attack vectors
- Granular access control that prevents unauthorized access by users
Aqua also announced today that its image vulnerability scanning is now available in the Visual Studio Marketplace and integrated with Visual Studio Team Services. VSTS users can use Aqua to scan container images for vulnerabilities during the build process. Users can create policies determining how to act on the results of the scan – for example, they can set thresholds for vulnerability scores that will fail the build. With this integration, VSTS users can easily automate security into their image build process.
