Senior Automation Infrastructure Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Infrastructure Engineer to join our quality engineering team and drive innovation in our automation infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about building scalable, robust test frameworks and infrastructure that empower automation and development teams to deliver high-quality products efficiently.
As a Senior Automation Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the core components of our automation ecosystem. You will collaborate with automation engineers, developers, DevOps, and QA to design and enhance infrastructure for comprehensive end-to-end, component, API, and UI testing. Your work will enable teams to accelerate their testing cycles through reliable and efficient tooling.
This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership and impact across multiple teams and services.
Your Role & Impact
· Design, build, and maintain scalable automation infrastructure and tools for E2E, API, UI, and component testing.
· Develop and extend automation services using Python and BDD-based frameworks.
· Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and development teams to integrate test infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines.
· Identify and implement improvements in test stability, performance, and developer experience.
· Build and maintain test utilities for reporting, debugging, and failure triage (e.g., log collection, dashboards).
· Investigate test infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and drive resolutions to improve reliability.
· Ensure infrastructure and tools support test execution across environments (e.g., Dockerized, cloud-native deployments).
· Contribute to documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements
· 5+ years of experience in software test automation or infrastructure engineering.
· Proficient in Python and experienced in building and scaling test frameworks.
· Strong understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and how to integrate test automation effectively.
· Hands-on experience with containerized and cloud environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP).
· Understanding of BDD test automation frameworks (big advantage).
· Experience with test result reporting tools (e.g., ReportPortal, Allure).
· Proactive problem-solver with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
· Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning and team collaboration.
· Passionate about quality, testability, and continuous improvement.
