About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data infrastructure and systems that enable efficient data processing, storage, and analysis in Aqua’s products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (Such as RnD R&D and Product Management) to develop and implement scalable solutions that support our organization's data-driven decision-making processes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering, proficiency in data processing technologies, and a passion for optimizing data workflows.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure smooth data flow across various systems and databases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build and optimize scalable data models, data structures, and databases to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data infrastructure, data storage, and processing technologies to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of data engineering, and proactively propose innovative solutions to improve data engineering processes.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field experience
  2. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Athena).
  3. Proven experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  4. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and Java.
  5. Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines.
  6. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and query optimization.
  7. Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  8. Knowledge of data integration tools, data orchestration frameworks, and workflow management systems.
  9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  10. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  12. Familiarity with data governance, data privacy regulations, and best practices for data security – nice to have.
