Events Manager

About The Position

Aqua is looking for an experienced marketing specialist to drive engaging prospect activity for both online and face-to-face events, reporting to the Director of Field Marketing for EMEA. The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills and be able to work in a fast-paced start-up environment. This person will be able to multi-task and be self-motivated with a can-do attitude. This is a full-time position to be based either at our London, UK offices or from home office within the EMEA region, and offers significant room for personal initiative, expanding responsibilities and professional growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Select and manage marketing events, including pre-event planning, staffing, and postevent follow-up – while optimizing activities within budget guidelines

• Work with technology and channel partners to drive joint/co-ordinated events across EMEA

• Drive webinar programs, including regularly scheduled / in-house produced calls-toaction for prospects, as well as topical webinars in conjunction with partners in the EMEA region

• Develop compelling invitations, promotional content and landing pages to maximize response / conversion

• Leverage social media to drive attendance and increase archived event views

• Update the marketing calendar and communicate upcoming events to sales / partners

• Manage external contractors (designers, agencies, media promotions) as needed to achieve objectives

• Assist with product launches, major company announcements and internal events

• Work closely with sales development, field sales, presales and product teams to support events, develop materials for follow-up and lead qualification

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in B2B/enterprise software marketing is a must; familiarity with security solutions and/or the software development lifecycle is a plus

• Excellent project management skills with an understanding of B2B lead capture and nurture.

• Native or native-like English speaker. French or German language proficiency an advantage

• BA/BSc in marketing/business/computer science/communications an advantage

• Superb analytical skills and results-driven approach

• Proficient in Salesforce.com and/or marketing automation tools like HubSpot, Marketo,Eloqua

• Highly effective team player, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Go-getter, self-sufficient, results oriented and versatile

• Some travel may be required to support events (20-40%)
